These steps will walk through the steps needed to create a Menu Item, place it on a Menu Grid and then setting the menu grid to be seen as default as well as on a specific terminal. The process follows the order of the Menu Items under the Point of Service tab.
1. To create a Menu Item, click on Menu Items under POS> Menu Items> Menu Items
2. Click the Add button on the right side.
3. Fill out the information under Description and Properties
NOTE: If this is a Reimbursable Meal click on the "Is a Meal" checkbox
If you don’t know what the selection of Properties please reference the picture below.
4. Enter the pricing for Students and Adults by entering the Price for All in the left hand corner or setting it individually.
If all the prices are the same for everyone or a majority, set the price in the box next to the Copy Price for All button. Clicking the button will transfer the price to each price point.
You can also set the price per Sites or Eligibility as shown below.
5. After setting the price at the bottom right you can either click Next or Save button to proceed to the Allergens tab. Select any Allergens if applicable to the Menu Item.
6. Once you are done Click the Save button at the bottom right corner. It should produce a message (at the top of the page) saying that it saved successfully.
7. The Menu Item will now be displayed under the Menu Items section.
