If you are unable to start a new physical inventory, it could be due to a previous one being started but never finished. The incomplete physical inventory will need to be either cancelled or completed in order to start a new one.


Note: You are only able to modify the last inventory that has been done.


1. Go to Inventory> Inventory> Physical Inventory



2. Enter the information under the Search Criteria. Select which site is trying to start the inventory, then fill in a date range you want to look through (some may be incomplete from the previous school year), and select Physical Incomplete under status. Click Apply




3. This will generate a list of Incomplete Physical Inventories. In order to cancel or complete them, you will need to click the View hyperlink. 




4.  Scroll to the bottom of the page. You should see a section that says Actions. There you will be able Save, or Cancel the Physical Inventory. 




5. If you are going to cancel the Physical Inventory, enter a comment, then click Cancel. 




6. If you are going to save the Inventory as Complete, enter a time, and who it was counted by, then click Save as Complete. 




7. Once you are done, the site will now be able to start a new Physical Inventory for the selected period.
